The Sports For Kids Foundation will sponsor the Karuizawa Sports Festival, to be held on May 16-17, 2026. This event aims to expand opportunities for experiencing sports, culture, and the arts, and to create moments that encourage children to take their first steps.

Opportunities to engage with sports and the arts are important not only for physical development, but also for fostering relationships with others and building self-esteem. Based on our belief that every child should be able to stand at the starting line, we support the purpose of this event and are proud to serve as a sponsor.

This event offers children the opportunity to try new experiences and connect with others while engaging in physical activities alongside athletes.

Through sports classes, interactive athletic meets, and cultural and arts programs, children are exposed to a variety of activities and encouraged to discover their interests and strengths.

Programs are designed in stages so that even first-time participants can take part comfortably, creating a supportive environment where every child can take their first step with confidence.

May 16 | Children's Home Event
A special event will be held for children living in children's homes in the prefecture.

May 17 | Open Event
Programs including sports classes and interactive athletic meets will be held for children in Karuizawa and surrounding areas.

The foundation is committed to addressing disparities in children's access to experiences by collaborating with various organizations and local communities.
This event is also part of that effort as a practical initiative aimed at opening up the starting line of opportunity.

A child's opportunity to start sports or cultural activities is often influenced by family environment, local community, and physical conditions. In reality, experiences that should be open to all are not yet equally accessible. The Sports For Kids Foundation (the “Foundation”) hereby establishes and publishes this Basic Policy on the proper management and secure use of personal information in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (the “Act”).

1. General Policy

The Foundation shall comply with applicable laws and this Policy in handling personal information, and will manage users’ information with integrity and responsibility. It will also continuously review and improve its data protection framework in response to changes in the social and technological environment.

2. Purpose of Use

The Foundation shall specify the purpose of use for the users' personal information and use it only to the extent necessary to achieve those purposes, except as permitted by the Act. Details of the purposes are published on the Foundation’s website.
Where the use of specific personal information is restricted by law, the Foundation shall not use it beyond the permitted scope.
If an individual requests the cessation of marketing use, including direct mail, the Foundation shall promptly discontinue such use.

3. Lawful Acquisition of Personal Information

The Foundation shall acquire personal information through lawful and transparent means, to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes specified in Section 2.

4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Foundation shall not provide personal information to any third party without the prior consent of the individual, except where permitted by the Act.

5. Security Measures

The Foundation shall implement appropriate organizational and technical measures to prevent the loss, alteration, or leakage of personal information. 6. Procedures for Disclosure Requests
