Build a societywhere everyone can stand on the starting line.

Give every child
the opportunity
to start sports.

We are driving a project that transforms opportunity gaps through sports.

Have you ever thought about the fact
that there are children for whom sports are not a given?

Because of financial circumstances, disabilities, or differences in where they live,
some children never even have the chance to choose to begin.
There are children who couldn’t say, “I want to try.”

There are children who want to start but simply can’t.

They can’t afford equipment.

They can’t pay monthly fees.

They have no way to get to practice.

They have no place that will accept them.

Each of these factors increases the distance to that starting line.
That gap becomes a gap in experience, and eventually, in opportunity.

Economic, disability, and regional barriers limit children’s choices
before they even begin.

That’s why we remove these barriers so every child can take their first step.
To shorten the distance to the starting line, we act through three approaches:

Build

Build the base to start

arrange

To remove economic and environmental barriers, we build the base for the first step through grants, equipment support, and collaboration with local organizations.

Create

Create the moment
to explore

make

We expand opportunities where children feel “I want to try” and discover new possibilities. Through continuous opportunities to engage with sports and culture, children can explore their potential and connect with society.

Open

Open up the future

open

We support environments where experiences build up through repeated challenges, empowering children to discover their own abilities, deepen connections with others, and grow within society.

We approach child support not as isolated initiatives,
but as a system that addresses structural challenges.
We develop our work through three approaches:
Build, Create, and Open.

Karuizawa International Curling Championship

At the Karuizawa International Curling Championship, children with serious illnesses and their families were invited to enjoy interactions with athletes, try curling, and watch matches in a safe environment. This initiative provided children with their first opportunity to experience sports and a space to share the joy of participating in society with their families, helping them take a new step forward.

Karuizawa Sports Festival

Now in its third year, this festival has provided children with opportunities to turn their “I want to try” into action through interaction with athletes and new challenges. Each year, participants experience the appeal of sports through engagement with professional athletes, gaining opportunities to broaden their horizons. This ongoing effort serves as an entry point to society and leads to their next challenges.

Karuizawa Child Future Fund

With the concept of “providing sports and cultural opportunities for all children,” the fund offers continuous experiences to children in difficult circumstances, supporting their physical and mental development. These experiences foster confidence and connections with others, forming children’s “ability to live a life.” These efforts are spreading as a community-based system that opens up future possibilities for children.

The distance to the starting line can be changed.

We are building the systems to make that possible.
There is no single way to get involved.
Start by learning more.
