Privacy Policy
The Sports For Kids Foundation (the “Foundation”) hereby establishes and publishes this Basic Policy on the proper management and secure use of personal information in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (the “Act”).
1. General Policy
The Foundation shall comply with applicable laws and this Policy in handling personal information, and will manage users’ information with integrity and responsibility. It will also continuously review and improve its data protection framework in response to changes in the social and technological environment.
2. Purpose of Use
The Foundation shall specify the purpose of use for the users' personal information and use it only to the extent necessary to achieve those purposes, except as permitted by the Act. Details of the purposes of use are set forth in Section 5 of the Personal Data Protection Policy.
Where the use of specific personal information is restricted by law, the Foundation shall not use it beyond the permitted scope.
If an individual requests the cessation of marketing use, including direct mail, the Foundation shall promptly discontinue such use.
3. Lawful Acquisition of Personal Information
The Foundation shall acquire personal information through lawful and transparent means, to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes specified in Section 2.
4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
The Foundation shall not provide personal information to any third party without the prior consent of the individual, except where permitted by the Act.
5. Security Measures
The Foundation shall implement appropriate organizational and technical measures to prevent the loss, alteration, or leakage of personal information. It shall also ensure that its personnel receive appropriate training on data protection and shall exercise proper supervision over any third parties to whom the handling of such information is entrusted.
6. Procedures for Disclosure Requests
If the Foundation receives a request from an individual or their representative to disclose, correct, delete, suspend the use of, or otherwise handle personal information held by the Foundation, we will respond after verifying the requester’s identity.
To make such a request, please complete the Foundation’s prescribed identity verification form. In principle, your identity will be verified using either one government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license or Individual Number Card (My Number Card), or two non-photo identification documents, such as a certificate of residence. Our contact desk will provide details on acceptable documents and submission methods. Please do not provide your Individual Number or the reverse side of your Individual Number Card.
For requests made by a representative, we will also verify the representative’s identity and authority. If you have difficulty providing the required documents, please contact us to discuss alternative verification methods.
